Shares of Brazilian planemaker Embraer fell sharply on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would impose a 50% tariff on all imports from the South American country.

Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer was one of the most exposed companies to the 50% tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump. Given that more than 60% of its sales come from the US market, the commercial and operational impact of these tariffs alone is significant.

Royal Air Maroc is in talks with Embraer for a potential order for the Brazilian planemaker' s E2 aircraft, newspaper Folha de S.Paulo reported on Wednesday citing the airline's CEO, Abdelhamid Adnoun.

Brazilian planemaker Embraer said on Wednesday it delivered 61 aircraft in the second quarter of 2025, a 30% increase from a year earlier.

Embraer shares were up 5.29% to R$81.08 on Tuesday. The stock's performance followed the announcement that Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has signed a order for 45 E195-E2 jets, with the option to acquire 10 more, bringing the total potential order to 55.
