Real estate listings platforms Redfin and Zillow said Wednesday (Oct. 1) that they disagree with allegations that their partnership violated antitrust laws. The companies' separate statements came after five states filed an antitrust lawsuit against them Wednesday, a day after the U.S. Federal Trade Commission filed a similar complaint.
Attorneys general from New York, Virginia, Arizona, Connecticut and Washington filed a lawsuit against Redfin and Zillow on Wednesday. The suit alleges that the two companies schemed together to reduce competition in the online housing rental market.
