Shares in Swedbank rose sharply on Thursday after the U.S. Department of Justice ended its investigation into money laundering in the Baltics without issuing ​a fine, removing the biggest legal threat the bank had ‌faced in years.

Swedbank said on Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Justice has closed its investigation into the bank without enforcement.

Swedbank on Saturday said that the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has closed its investigation into the bank without enforcement.
