Mondelez International (NASDAQ: MDLZ) reported Q3 2025 earnings that met adjusted profit expectations but fell short on revenue, leaving investors underwhelmed.

Mondelez International Inc., the maker of Oreo cookies, Ritz crackers and Sour Patch Kids candy, said late Tuesday it reached “peak costs” and dialed down its expectations for the year.

The Chicago company now expects revenue to rise 4% on an organic basis for the year, rather than 5%, due to record-high cocoa prices and rising transportation costs.

Mondelez International forecast a steeper decline in annual profit on Tuesday, as consumers scaled back on purchases of its pricey chocolates and snacks in North America, while higher cost of key ingredient cocoa added further pressure.

A federal judge dismissed a proposed class action lawsuit accusing Mondelez International of deceiving consumers into overpaying for Clif bars that were labeled "climate neutral certified."
