Hasbro saw quarterly revenues rise amid delayed holiday orders and diminished spending among some consumers. The toy and game maker reported earnings Thursday (Oct. 23) showing an 8% increase in revenue.

Hasbro posted better-than-expected third-quarter results despite some disruptions to its retail business and offered some updates on its “asset-light” entertainment approach. Total revenue for the period ended September 30 climbed 8% over the prior year, reaching $1.39 billion. Earnings per share came in at $1.68. Both metrics exceeded Wall Street analysts' consensus forecast.

The company now expects revenue to grow in the high-single digits, compared with a prior outlook of mid-single digit growth, amid a pickup in orders from retailers.
